Better. I can definately see a pattern that the older works are better than the new ones (although Breach of Duty was great). Perhaps it was just a bad patch there for a bit with J.A Jance. For some reason I thought this was a “later” work and was not anticipating that great a story, but this one was a good read. The J.P Beaumont series is becoming one of my favorites.
