Evidently this book won a “Edgar” and it shows. Had me hooked from about the 3rd or 4th page. Most of the action takes place in Montana and away from New Iberia, LA where the other novels were set. The romantic element is a bit thin her, but Dave’s on the rebound after Annie’s death and it’s obvious. As usual, Clete helps him out doing the dirty work, but it’s a good story all the same.
