This was one that I though I had read when I first picked it up. Then I decided I had not and bought it. As I read it I thought I recognized passages that I had read before. By the end, I wasn’t sure. It’s not on my “read” list so if I did read it I’ve forgotten.
At any rate it’s a first rate Mathew Scudder novel. All the usuals are there: Danny Boy, T.J, Elaine, and the big Irishman. I don’t think Lawrence Block can write a bad one!
